Bantayan Island

Not so exciting - but that may be good

Ferry Service

You can take your motorbike or car but not necessary and is not cheap.

Hire a motorbike, as the island is too large to get about by foot and public transport is limited.

On arriving you will be mobbed by touts, it is best to walk past them into town, a 500m walk.

Talisay Tree

It gets hot and the sea slopes gradually, you may have to go out a long way to swim.

It is a very laid back place, not busy.

Nice Coral Sand

Walk about, enjoy the beach vistas and wade in the shallows.

Some nice beaches but, no easy to swim coral reef that I found close. The porus island slops off to sand and sea grass, is home to some 120,000 people and million(s) of chickens. That may explain why so much sea grass washes up after storms.

Island Hopping

There are many sparsely inhabited islands close
